…..as for WHAT we do – it might be easier if we just list the things we have done together over the years:
We planted over 100 trees in The Glen with Honiton Community College Eco Council
We then weeded our trees for the first 3 years of their little lives!
We’ve done several fruit giveaways now & have given fruit to Honiton Foodbank
We set up a Community Orchard Group
We screened the In Transition 2 film at the Community College thanks to a grant from the Co-operative
We set up the Planting Group which has done so much fabulous work together
We enjoyed a lovely Bring & Share supper in the Masonic Hall in 2012
We opened our beautiful herb wall garden on New Street in Sept 2013
We ran several Sustainable Saturday Community Markets
Several creative members of the community created a beautiful TTH banner in 2013
We created an amazing Bird Garden at Honiton Library
We set up this glorious website & several of us work on it to keep it up to date
We supported the fantastic Waste Not Want Not project in Honiton
We send regular e-newsletters - email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our mailing list or tell us about news to send out
We organised a talk & discussion with Joe Burlington on our 2nd birthday
We spent an evening together making plans at our ‘visioning’ evening
We created our very own Facebook group
We support the Honiton Credit Union
We tried to get a waste group started but didn’t get very far – not enough people were interested in making this happen, please get in touch if you can help!
We did a regular clothes swap in Honiton
We write regular blogs like this one all about our herbs!
We got creative with the little ones with our EcoArt idea
We enjoyed a talk by Anne Tucker of Sustainable Crediton on Recycling
…….and finally here’s a report from our very first gathering in September 2011 when it all started…
