…..as for WHAT we do – it might be easier if we just list the things we have done together over the years:

We planted over 100 trees in The Glen with Honiton Community College Eco Council

We then weeded our trees for the first 3 years of their little lives!

We’ve organised an event for Climate Week 2013 and ran our Seedy Saturday event for Climate Week 2012

We’ve done several fruit giveaways now & have given fruit to Honiton Foodbank

We set up a Community Orchard Group

We screened the In Transition 2 film at the Community College thanks to a grant from the Co-operative

We set up the Planting Group which has done so much fabulous work together

We enjoyed a lovely Bring & Share supper in the Masonic Hall in 2012

We pick unwanted fruit and give it away

We opened our beautiful herb wall garden on New Street in Sept 2013

We ran several Sustainable Saturday Community Markets

Several creative members of the community created a beautiful TTH banner in 2013

We created an amazing Bird Garden at Honiton Library

We set up this glorious website & several of us work on it to keep it up to date

We supported the fantastic Waste Not Want Not project in Honiton

We send regular e-newsletters - email info@transitiontownhoniton.org.uk to be added to our mailing list or tell us about news to send out

We organised a talk & discussion with Joe Burlington on our 2nd birthday 

We planted red and white poppies in 2014 outside the family church and in other areas across town to commemorate World War One

We spent an evening together making plans at our ‘visioning’ evening

We created our very own Facebook group

We support the Honiton Credit Union

We tried to get a waste group started but didn’t get very far – not enough people were interested in making this happen, please get in touch if you can help!

We did a regular clothes swap in Honiton

We write regular blogs like this one all about our herbs!

We got creative with the little ones with our EcoArt idea

We enjoyed a talk by Anne Tucker of Sustainable Crediton on Recycling
